I have seen a few that had the pump on the port side but the belt was not on it and the belt was zip tied to the motor.

I have a Gen 6 with a serpentine belt. Yes the port motor loops.

I have the PS delete kit on one of my engines. It uses a pulley the same size as a PS pulley with a sealed bearing like a standard idler pulley.
This is on a 2000 model year 502mpi.
