BBC 632ci 1209HP MARINE RACING ENGINE
This thing has some big steam. I would love to see how much compression it has and camshaft size.

I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be a "pump gas" build. Not sure what components would make it a "marine" engine. Maybe its the stellings headers?

His dyno sheet shows that 1209 at 6900

I would think 14-15:1 range?

Yes would have to be in the 14-15 range. Those ports have intake volume of 440cc they are huge, I was going to buy them until I saw the runner CCs. That's why I went with the spread port heads at 416CCs.

Arent those heads designed so the port is actually "longer" runner design, therefore making the intake a larger volume? Requiring the "special" intake manifold? Read about them on the interweb a while back. I think I used google search engine.

I know the port is raised on them but I still think they are huge inside. It was originally built for a tire size class racing with big rpm.

The ports on the Sr20 are huge it is a "conventional head" and needs lots or RPM to work even on a 632. 11.5:1 would make that power with that head. There are some Head Hunters going around now with a 410cc port (very similar to the new Profiler 410) that will make 1250hp with 12:1@ 7400 rpm

Wow interesting engine!

In their defense I think they specialize in white water jet boat racing.......
