Pulling a motor from the flange of a 177 wieand

Is the 177 wieand blower carb flange strong enough to pull a dressed big block?

The tolerances inside the supercharger, are very tight. The last thing you want to do, is distort the aluminum case.

There are lots of other ways to lift an engine out of a boat. My favorite, is either a pit pal sling, or, four 1 inch nylon lifting straps, one at each corner of the heads, if no lifting rings on engine.

The SC is only torqued down to about 15# and the bolts holding it only go into an aluminum manifold less than an inch.

As was said..........NO
