and what is the part #.........that's what I'm looking for
|
I was told gm lifters won’t live with increased spring seat pressures. i know the blue motors were all delivered using pac 120# and anyone who rebuilds knows better to Increase 140-160 depending on cam. |
I'm looking for a stock GM lifter part # for a STOCK 500 EFI
|
Call eddie young. I’ve seen him recommend the part number. |

Not enough time to go through this entire thread, but for what it's worth, I bought three sets of Hylift Johnson lifters for my three 525EFI's a few years ago. I experienced collapsed lifters on two out of three engines and ripped them all out. Got replacement lifters from Eddie Young (which are GM, I believe) and haven't had a problem since.

Lifters
That's the way I'm going to go! Screw morel and their $800.00 junk(I'm still mad I have to spend more money on lifters) didn't I just pay $700 something for those? + Gaskets, oil probably pushrods, and oh yeah, got to buy more dogbones and spider, cuz I got rid of that stuff when I thought I bought the "good" stuff. At least the zz572 lifters are only $500, and I only need 1 set.........
