What's out there for big sea strainers?
 

Looking to run one big sea strainer on my 42 build. What's out there? I see cp has one listed? Has to be more than just that out there. Thanks in advance.

Imco makes one in the $12-1500 dollar range I believe and Stainless Marine makes one around $750. The Imco unit is a really nice looking piece. Stainless Marine like their exhaust (works great built like a tank) but not very flashy.

Have not seen the imco one but the sm I don't think is big enough to run 2 engines on one strainer. Thanks for the reply.

The imco unit looks very similar to the CP unit. Maybe it's the same. Ill try to see what the capacity is on my stainless marine super tall after work. I'd bet it's very close to the Cp/Imco. The Cp/Imco is taller but doesn't have the diameter the Stainless strainer has...

This is the strainer I have on my 47. All three engines run through it. I think it was custom made. You might want to call Fountain and see if they can get one for you.

How much hp do your engines have?

Build one yourself I had fountain build me one for my other 42 which both engines 900 + hp each fed off of , about 2 foot tall 8 or 10 diameter 1 big 1.5 inlet on top 2 feeds off the bottom , stainless screen , stainless removable lid , made my own brackets done . should have made it myself for what they charged .
