Good article.
Excellent recommendation for stock type replacement. Liked the section about the manufaturing process and core shift. The hot dip galvanize coating, is it only on the outer surface or is it applied to the water and exhaust passages too? I doubt it would be in the exhaust passages, would be burned off in time. Same question on hard anodize coating with the aluminum manifolds. |

All three articles are great. I don't know whether you intended it that way, but I noticed that one article delves into the science behind the product, one describes the manufacturing of the product and one is a performance test of the product. I will take this as evidence of a well-organized writer's brain! If a particular subject area only deserved one article it would still be good to include these three angles. Tom |
Iggy amd Tomcat
Iggy,
The complete manifold is dipped in hot galvanizing, so yes everything is coated. Tomcat, Thanks for picking up on that, yes, theory, manufacturing and testing is exactly what I had in mind. Thanks for the input! Dennis |

Thanks for the suggestions about the valves. I did an article about the Aluminum Edelbrock Marine Heads (they are hard anodized). These heads come with inconnel valves! A little expensive for the average boater though. I'll see what I can do.

Dennis, is there any chance of getting a copy of that Edelbrock head article.
