performance parts?
 

Anyone know of a cheap marine performance parts place? Looking for ingnition system, maybe MSD and some headers. Any ideas?

If it`s "marine only" type stuff, I use CP Performance. They have fair prices. If it`s something that crosses the line of automotive use, like an ignition system, I use Jeg`s.
Been very happy with both of these places.

Found that Summit Racing carrys some MSD marine parts. The MSD 6M-2 box is only 247.95 where at Eddie Marine it is 290.00 Oh well, sounds like I'll be shopping there

I grew up in the town that CP Performance is in, and knew Mike Mays senior who started the company originally called "Cotati Performance" , in a little 1 room store rented in Cotati Calif (where the hippies hung out) back in 1971. I used to go there @ lunch time in high school, and Mike started out with a couple sets of headers, valve covers, Holley carbs, a few tires and wheels, a cam and lifters, a manifold or 2... probably $1000 worth of inventory. He then grew it to what it is today, building the foundation for his son Mike jr., who owns and operates it now. Somewhere, Mike sr got into Offshore boats. loved them, and it stuck... making their operation top notch among all mail order parts stores. They also have a no bull**** low price guarantee that they are serious about.... Call and ask for Mike jr, and tell him one of his dads original customers who started buying parts from his dad when he was at the "WigWam" in Cotati referred you (he will probably freak out). Im not positive, but I don't believe Jr was even born yet back then! Happy boating!
