Cost to paint hull sides

What would one expect to pay to have the hull sides painted white on a 35' boat? Obviously there are different variables, just looking for a ball park cost for a quality job. Thanks.

Guess I should have put this in Fiberglass and Paint section... oops.

I think there are too many variables to give a price. The difference in materials used alone can sway the job quite a bit.

ya there is paint that goes for $50 a gallon to well over $1000 a quart

Paint on my truck was $600 for a half pint of base coat.

Even single stage ppg concept is near 1,000.00 for a gallon where as a lessor quality ppg omni is like 300.00. A lot depends on color also. Materials as you prolly know have sky rocketed it seems over the last 10 - 15 years. Not sure if your thinking base coat clear coat system or a single stage enamel however to take a guess at your question I would Estimate anywhere from 3k low end up to 7k higher end. Again not sure how much prep work is involved on your particular boat. You get into stripe or decal removal labor can get up there. I'm painting my deck and sides on my 32' myself and figured around 2,500.00 plus just in materials.

I just bought 3 gallons of ppg concept and the black was 400 and the white was 390. I agree paint has gotten expensive, but concept isnt a grand a bucket.
To the OP:
I bet you'd have 1500 in material for decent quality stuff and a couple grand in labor.
This is provided that the hull doesn't need a bunch of work. I'm gonna guess 3500 to 5000 for a nicely done job.

Really depends on color as well. Plus do you want a solid. Pearl, metallic , candy?

Need more details. Like some have said a single stage concept white is different then a candy red that will need a base/candy/ clear coat.

No one has even mentioned prep time. I don't know a single painter that won't do some amount of prep before they spray. At the end of the day there name is on it. It will look like crap unless it's prepped properly. Attention to detail will vary amongst painters. Some are perfectionists while others...well they spray to make a buck.

Sorry bud but yes it does. Depending on color. Just priced it out last week on inca red I think it was through ppg rep. I'd have to double ck on which red for sure but for real... I should have stated CAN be up to 1k
