Thats how many cubic inches of air per revolution.

When you get into the 6-71 - 14-71's it's a different measurement.
They were originally built for diesel motors. They rated them by number of cylinders they could feed.
Example:
6-71 could feed a 6 cylinders, 71 cubic inches each and so on.

To answer your question directly however, a 14-71 blower will produce approx 513 cubic inches of air per revolution.

That's another interesting thing to try, from a post above....using Desktop dyno to see the relative differences of using different size blowers on a given combo. Just as you might think, a small blower ceases to do anything more once spun too fast, and likewise, there seems to be a diminishing return on using an ever larger blower (a suprise to me). On my combo, it sure didn't seem worth the expense of a 14-71 blower over an 8-71. (just as Marv at the blower shop said  )
