Doh ! That suks.

The wires I've had experience pull out the most are MSD's and Accell 300+.

As BUP mentioned, the Moroso wires are USA made....Philadelphia in fact. Used to use these (the ultra40's) on all the race cars - drag and circletrack. Good stuff !!!!

Lots of good words from respected engine builders (big hp engine builders) on the Firecore's the OP is referencing. One of the things about the wires they mention is it's resistance to pull out. Extremely important for those who are pulling wires off of spark plugs a lot. That is what got me off MSD and Accel 300+'s. Nothing like a new set breaking when checking plugs for tune. Frustrating !

I have had many merc blue wires for the black engine side pull right on out from the coil - the wire without the crimp. Even almost brand new apps as well. I have some pics of it if anyone wants them to your email or post them up here. Just saying.

Volvo Penta warns all techs about pulling and removing spark plugs wires as they only want you to handle the boot - one twist at the boot and pull straight off at the boot only.

The Merc 496 wires do not hard bend those wires especially in the middle. Just some added info.

And that is correct about Moroso all of it made in the USA - PA.

These are the beauties. Found and fixed 3, but how can I trust the rest now? Probably just go with one of the other brands mentioned here.

Those look like they just plain forgot to crimp them. Supposed to be crimped there with needle nose. I make sets of the red wires and their always pretty nice when finished. Here's the instructions.https://www.msdignition.com/uploaded...structions.pdf
