What makes them better in your opinion?
The Autolite plugs are a lot beefier than the other plugs. They have a much better ground strap on them. If I'm trying to tune a motor by reading plugs I run NGK's they are by far the easiest to read (Autolites can be a little tricky) once I'm happy (for the most part) I'll put the Autolites in do a couple more reads to make sure it's safe and run the Autolites from there on.

like joe said they use a .750 reach plug with the gasket.you can,t go wrong with ngk plugs as long as the heat range is correct.imo a 8 range in ngk works well in most marine applications.
