Can't answer your crank swap question, but I did buy some parts from Flatlander when I was building my engine. They were excellent to deal with. Fast shipping and good customer service.

Dyno

Yes you can swap. You may need an adapter for the rear seal if you use the later style GM block

It's the same

I had a customers 502 break a crank once and all I had was a 454 crank laying on the shelf. I had to send it out to the machine shop along with the rods pistons, balancer, and flywheel to get the 454 crank balanced to match the rest of the rotating assembly. It took the machine shop about a week to get it done.

Hi Don
All well with the family I assume??
Dont forget..when you go to a 4 1/4 crank the pistons and rods need to be changed..then all balanced..then you need a mk4 502 block with a 2 pc main..a tall block means new rods and pistons again!! it never ends huh?
Call when you can..early eve is best
Dan

So FLA????? I'm here

Dan I'm thinking 496's for now the rotating assemblies from FlatLander Racing look like a pretty good way to go...do I need to clearance the block for a 4.25 stroke? It wont be this year but maybe next winter...
