Going up in prop Pitch,?????

Currently running 25 Hydro, at 5300rpm, 500efi 74mph.

I am thinking of going up in pitch, how many rpms are lost per pitch?? looking at a labbed 28 Bravo, 26 Hydro, and maybe a labbed 27 hydro. I think the labbed 27 would be best and put me around 5100rpm??

What do you guys think
Thanks
WILL;)

Roughly 200rpm per 1" pitch change and add 200 rpm for labbing.

It all depends

You may go up in pitch and gain speed or loose it. Some boats like higher RPM's some like lower RPM's. You may see a loss of responsiveness in holeshot, and in rough seas. Usually big wheels make the most top speed (rule of thumb, but not always fact) but are not the most ideal for all around performance. Bigger pitch may also net you a better cruise speed, but also with a loss of fuel consumption (higher engine load).

Panther,

I think the 25 Hydro is best all around for my boat. However I am looking for a strictly top end speed prop. I only plan on using on poker runs and radar runs.
