Put it this way I've seen much worse. I doubt your valve will know the difference. I'd guess probably about .050 would correct it but again, considering your spring pressures etc you'll be ok. I like to try and get perfect every time But is it absolutely necessary if your off a little??? If you were near the edge of the tip I'd without a doubt change them but your in the go range as far as I'm concerned. Proper geometry is essential. Just an FYI Running to close to the edge can cause premature guide wear as well.

Funny you mention than.050 getRdunn because that's exactly the amount my current rods are longer than the spec that mercury gave me for my serial # motor.
In the interest of time trying to make the Tickfaw 200 in baton Rouge, La soon, instead of waiting a couple days, i may see if i can borrow a pushrod checker tomorrow and see if that .050 is what it needs, before buying a set. |

EnginePros. Speedways, PRW's (in the $300's) are much more expensive than the ProComp/Speedmaster's.(in the $100's) Edit it: Yes, they look very similar. And I would love to find out iof the same as the Procomp/Speedmaster's. But no solid proof yet. But, if they suck, which by this thread it looks like they do (ie: the OP's issues) than all one of the same anyway ie: stay away from junk. |

If you look at the Crower steel rocker, the PRW steel rocker, the old comp cams steel rockers, Speedmaster/Procomp rocker, they all about look the same at first glance.
The fulcrums are large in the steel rockers arms, compared to an aluminum rocker typically |
