Any particular smell?
I am assuming you are air cooled?
Generally generac is responsive, make sure you let them know what is going on within the warranty period. They typically work well on warranty issues when using a certified dealer.

Sy I see you live in a cold area! what i have seen is if you have the Gen setup to run lets say Bi-monthly for 5 min to exercise the unit the moisture does not have enough time to burn offf and can turn the oil color and not necessarily milky.

Is the engine water cooled ? Coffee colored (assuming with cream) usually indicates water mixed in. Either from internal leak (if water cooled) or water intrusion or doesn't get run much and humidity caused water droplets in the oil ?

I'm not a Generac technician...more like a generic technician. LOL.
