177 blower bearing.
 

I just built my 525sc. They only used part is the blower and carb. Last weekend the blower seized up. It was the sealed bearing in the snout. All the others were fine. I had a new bearing installed. I now notice the area by the pulley is warmer than the rest of the blower. I get that the rest of the blower is oil bath bearings and probably cooled by the moving air. The sealed bearing only has the little bit of grease factory installed. What do you guys think?

It would be interesting to know the temps, maybe via a temp gun.

I can always put my hand on it. Never too hot to touch. I'd say it's probably 110-130 degrees.
