port a potty / pump out conversion?

So I found a 35 fountain I like but it has a port a potty. The Wife has a real problem with it and wants a boat with pump out head.

What would be my options to convert this? Has anyone done this or similar?

Tell that to the wife!! lol She does not want to be bothered with carrying it out of the boat at the end of each day. I must say I dont either. But I would like to hear your point of view. Please elaborate.

My Porta potty is a pump out it works good just not the biggest tank.

Had both- prefer pump out, rather tip the pump out guy 10 bucks than carry the tank up the dock and pour out. One less thing to clean

Buy a holding tank. Buy a buncha hose. Buy a marine toilet. Or buy a different boat...doing the conversion is not insurmountable. Heck, the stuff'll all be new. Won't even smell like poop yet.

The hardest thing will be running power to it. Buy a tank that will fit somewhere and run the hose from the toilet to the tank. Just don't forget to run it dry before jumping waves. I installed a slow open valve on the water feed line so that I could do #1 and flush it away without filling the holding tank with a LOT of water. But if you did #2 you held the flush button a little longer and the slow open valve would open and let water into the bowl to flush the waste.

The 35 fountain had a holding tank on stbd side in engine bay. My 95 does. Same size as water tank on port side. Shouldn't be all that hard to find someone who has removed em.

the hardest thing will be running the hose from head to tank, you will want to set head up with water from your water tank. you also will need to add a deck pump out, but not a big deal there, not a bad job when installing new parts

Pay a dock boy to carry it off the dock and empty it. It will be cheaper, less stuff to go wrong and no waiting for a pump out. Just my opinion.
