K plane hose end size question
 

Hello all.
Plumbing some 280 k planes and I'm about to order some lines.
Question,
Will a CP performance/KE inverted flare be the lines I'm after. Nobody seems to give a hose end size, just straight or 90 degree stainless double flare in the wording.
I have the Mercury hydraulic pumps and the stainless though hull k plane fittings. They both appear to be female double flare.
I'm concerned that the size will match.

I ran into this a while back and didn't get much feed back. I'd call cp and just ask. I wound up buying a new set of lines I found here on oso just to have as spares. You get in a bind let me know and I will send you the ones I have on the boat now and replace with the new ones. The other ones are fines just a little stiff but look amd work fine. You are talking about the two short ones on each side that go from the cylinder to the ss fittings on the back plate right.

I'm looking for the nuts that thread on the ss tubes on the inside of the boat. .625 dia nuts.

3/16 DF. Check your thru hull tubes. You might need flare to 1/4 pipe fittings

Actually, im after the lines that are inside the bilge and go between the pumps and the stainless through hull fitings. 60" long with a 90 on one end and a straight on the other.

FYI, I believe the jam nuts you are after are SAE jam nuts. I bought some at our local farm and fleet in the fastener section (stainless)

I looked inside the stainless through bull tubes and they are double flare female.

I wish all these outfits selling these lines would give a size on the fittings. They all just give a length and say double flare in straight or 90 degree configuration.

I just ordered 4 new tubes. 2 were double flare and 2 were pipe

Not sure where you mounted your pumps, but another option is to just use 3/16 hard line/brake line.

My pumps are right above my tabs on the transom, and that's what I did. One side came out awesome, very compact and tidy, the other side I would like to re-do but it works so I left it.

I think even if my pumps would have been on the front bulkhead I would have ran hard line.

Pumps are on the forward bulkhead. I thought about hard lines but wondered if I would run the risk of having one crack because of dynamics.
