Great read and story! I once worked with an ex airforce guy who told me about flying into a base in florida back in the sixties and seeing one and was like , what the he!! Is that? Doesn't exist was he answer he got.
Seen one up close in the boeing museum of flight in Seattle, what an awe inspiring creation!

I love that it fly's faster than a rifle round. Chances of hitting it are slim to none.

. 1964 The a12 oxcart was actually the 1st black birds for cia.then in 1968 the Sr71 took over and the a12 was mothballed. Original start carts buik wild cat motors in the 60's and early 70's then Chevy 454's for the remainder of their career.
