500 efi rebuild?
 

Engine is 500 EFI with just over 500 hrs on it. Top end was done at 300hrs.

Am i in danger zone going another summer without a total rebuild?

IMO, You should be ok for another season. Maybe do a compression test and/or leak down.

1200 hours here not even top end done... You should be fine!

Depends what kinda life its had,I had a customer bring me a hp500 carbed motor with 480 hours on it and 5 lifters looked like this when I tore it down

2 rebuilds would be bad enough, cant imagine 3 !!!!!

I'm not saying at 1200 hours time is not ticking by the way... I know it's more than we could wish for... just did not have time over winter to take them out and rebuild... next winter's project i guess!

You just made me smile with that statement. I'm 560 hrs unopened and nervous
