575sci refresh
What parts are normal "rebuild" parts in a 320 hour 575sci. 2003 model year engines. Still have the flat tappet cam. Have ran a lot of those 320 hours with them turned up. I have a friend getting some quotes and I'm surprised at how little is on the parts list by the shop he is wanting to do the work.

Rebuild heads. I also did roller cam while engines were out. Then in water ECU tuning. Call Eddie Young.

Thanks for the response. He was planning on cams but I was more curious about Pistons, rings etc. I don't see how a performance marine engine with 320 hours does not need more than a hone job. This one shop is proposing an In house hone job(ball hone or stone hone) rings and rebuilt heads. Seems like that is optimistic.

Leak down should have determined if bottoms ends need freshening. Mine have 306 hours now - and run strong.
