They will work just fine. I would imagine there not 308's anymore with any kind of port work which will help u out also. If it means anything to u I am using ported 310's on my 555 builds. As mentioned in above post move thread over to Q@A for more opinions etc.

I had ported 308's on 500's turned into 540's. Ported the EFI plenum too but THAT was what was holding the motor back, not the heads.
