Getrdunn it made 618hp/541tq. SBC. Would your previous post fix the ratlle or just the trim indicator?

Are your external flappers new? When I put mine on for the first few runs. At idle they sounded horrible I thought my motor was knocking.
Plus real easy to eliminate they come off easy. no harm in trying.

I put Hardin tips on and even the the flaps are rubber I thought the engine was coming apart. Since the sound goes away with rpms maybe a lifter issue? You can try changing different weight oil and see if it has any effect at all.
