The plumbing looks a little funny to me show a close up of where they meet at the block. Does it have a thermostat in it?

A regular/stock block adapter only has two fittings, the first line out of the block to the outside fitting of the filter is correct, then the other filter line should go to the port side of the cooler, then the starboard line of the cooler should go to the return side of the block, I think lol

It had a Hardin block mount thermostat on it. 4 hoses. 2 to cooler, 2 to filter. Now has regular adapter on it. From block to filter, filter to cooler against water flow, back to block. It's plumbed correctly.
First setup. No good picture of sender.

Cool looking hoses. What kind are they?

Black nylon aeroquip with black anodized fittings. $750 worth of oil and fuel plumbing on a single engine boat!

Looks slick! Push on fittings, right? It's funny how much money you have to spend to protect the money you've already spent, lol.

Thanks for the picture now I understand. Never seen a thermostat housing like that pretty cool.

No that hose is used with the regular braided steel fittings.
