850 sci - 1075 sci cam specs

Any one know for certain what cam specs are for the 850 - 1075 sci engines? I found an old thread from 06 I think where Bob m posted them however the way he claimed that the 850 was a different cam than the 1075 and I was under the impression that they were one of the same. Solid roller. Thanks for any information on this.

Not sure what the specifications are but both the 1075 and 850 use the same camshaft. The Mercury Racing part number is 496-8M0043068.

GF?

Somebody has to have spec'd one out by now. I remember reading Merc was pretty discrete about this one. Lol.

I have a cam card from bullet cams,its from the 1075,252,257,ls110,.673",.673".thats the cam we put in after a lifter took a dump.
I have more specs on the card if needed.

I kinda liked that... It was apparent something changed other than just the CI etc.

850 SCI camshaft = #8M0043068 old # 496-841341

1075-1200 camshaft = #496-842547T01 old #496-842547

Max recommended WOT RPM

850SCI = 5800

1075SCI =6000

Got it. Thanks for doing that. Current exhaust is cmi etops with dry tails but going to have custom set made for new builds. Can't hardly wait to see the price tag on these. My narrow center to center bites but with any luck I will have different boat by then. Gotta move a little real estate before that happens.

I still kind of find this a little strange as it seems several are under the impression the cams are the same 850sci-1075/1200sci. MT confirmed what I thought also. I just didn't know the difference btwn them.

Look up the latest serial number 850 and 1075 they look like both engines have the same camshafts.

Tks for the part numbers. If you run across the cam cards etc please post. I'd like to compare the two. I have the 1075/1200 but not the 850.
Tks
