HP500 Spring Failures-Associated Problems
 

*What problems has anyone experienced or found/heard to have been associated with the valve spring failures/breakage with the HP500 Carb engine, Gen 5 ? ( I am fully aware of the water reversion problems associated with the spring issue. )
*What I'm looking for is Specifacally engine/or valve train damage. Broken valves, damaged seats, damaged guides, engine damage/failures, etc ..... ?
*Has anyone ever got Mercury/Crane to provide compensation for damage resulting from this spring problem on any engine over 1 year old, since it is an inherent problem due to the springs that they used during the assembly process & have admitted such ?
* Also any service bulletins/numbers associated with this issue would also be helpful. ( or any other inherent problems )
