im finishing up a very similar build right now. 489", 800 holley, performer rpm airgap, 9.3-9.5 comp, 781 heads with 2.19 1.88 valves.

here is the cam in the engine. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/h...5-12/overview/

im shooting for 475 hp.

id be worried about that compression and cam combo. the engine will probably want more duration to bleed off some compression to not detonate itself to death. it will more than likely be very timing sensitive id guess 430 hp.

502 415hp Mag cam was 224/224, 500EFI was 230/236, 525EFI 236/244, all were around 8.75 static and ran on 87 oct.

With that 218* cam, 10:1 static, I'd be running premium for sure, and be real careful on the timing advance curve. That thing is gonna be making some cylinder pressure getting the boat on plane.

The thing would try it's best to make 600 ft/lb! 496" with 9:1 I'd have certainly gone at least 230/230 on the cam, higher compression even more reason to go a bit bigger, smaller intake ports would give me even more confidence that it'll have good manners down low with even MORE cam.

How about the 11-451-8 as a starting point, 230/230, .547/.547 lift?
