Small block ignition

Putting an aluminum head small block together. Will be na, 10.25 compression or so. Will stock ignition hold?

If not what else is recommended? I don't want to be a boat that has to keep extra ignition boxes onboard. F MSD.

I've had good luck with the DUI ignition on mine.

Yes, to 6200+rpm with an MSD HVC canister coil. Not sure if stock coil will do it.

Make sure your cam has an iron gear to be compatible with the TBIV distributor.

If you want to change timing curves, that poart is harder, but better to soend the $500-$600 on a Daytona Sensors marine box (will work with the tbolt IV system) vs a full MSD system.

Ran the stock sbc ignition setup in a 428 sbc 600+ hp. 6500 rpm. Never had a issue.

MM - wasn't that motor near 12:1 compression too ?
What module did you use ?

I can check just remembered I have all the old ignition in a box. 24° rings a bell. If I remember I will check

H/P HEI is the ticket in my opinion

My SBC setups were stock distributor, 22* module. MSD blaster 3 coil, 6AL box, plug wires. Always ran great, no problems.
