flywheel material and type
I am putting together a 540 engine that has an internal balance crank and rotating assembly. I have to buy a 168 tooth neutral balance fly wheel. Can I use a aftermarket automotive manual transmission flywheel? what material is better cast, steel, billet steel? Will bravo drive coupler bolt up on automotive flywheel? I have a neutral flywheel but its for TRS setup.Starter ring gear on wrong side. Thanks for any info.

I bought some real nice billet units from Teague (if I remember right) Balance was less that 1/2 a gram

Summit or Jeg's would have either.

Thanks for info guy's. Just ordered one from Teague. I guess I will list the TRS one on swap/sell fourm

the bravo coupler uses the same blot pattern as a gm 11 inch clutch so yes you can use a automotive flywheel.

Bought an SFI RAM flywheel from summit for around 200 bucks. Steel
Made in USA! |

I've seen some of those flywheels that were made for the ring gear to be able to go on both sides... not the case on yours? The Teague piece looks nice.
