Dominator on 4150 sniper jr with spacer?
Anyone do much of this aside from recent bck on his 548's. I've heard and read that it works well with the intake in the right hands match up with heads. Especially with an engine that wouldn't see more than 5,700 on a 555/565 CI and 320 runner head. I have my own opinion on this however looking for ACTUAL RESULTS. This was not my plan but does interest me assuming the right 4150 intake be used. Sniper jr just my preference if I were to a actually try it say in comparison to a sv565
I know the other way around would suck but this intrigues me a little. |
so you are asking about running a dominator or a 4150 intake with a adapter right ? lots of guys swear by that setup in drag racing saying it ups the runner velocity, so in a boat I would think would be fine, just port the all together for a good transition

Give the engine what it wants.

To save you the trouble of looking up all those old sheets my intake was a Victor Jr port matched to AFR 305. The carb was a pro systems 986 cfm 4150. Putting on the 4500 adapter and ancient 4500 carb beat the 4150 throughout the whole band iirc. But swapping to a real 4500 flange intake was even better yet. I believe my Vic Jr and the 454R are almost identical in height so not much variable there. I believe Rerher Morrison made a 4150 intake with a HVH style 4500 flange grafted on. I don't recall it being successful for some reason

If things would have worked out the way I wanted I would've given this one a run for the money. Probably too much for my combo but yours...
