Mercruiser Engine Specs

Does anyone know of a source for engine specs such as head bolt torque, intake manifold bolt torque etc... for a 1999 7.4L engine. The motor has been reworked bore .030 over with Dart heads and roller everything, but I'd like to take it down this winter to inspect and can't locate a decent source book with the torque specs. I'm sure marine engines must have different specs and clearances than auto engines. Right?

Thank You In Advance

Here is a tread welcoming Dennis Moore to OSO.
This should get you what you need.
There is a link to his book, Big-Block Chevy Marine Performance: Engine Modifications for Maximum Boating Performance

Thanks for the great chart!!!!

Thank you very much. I will definately put the info to great use. If my engine (7.4L)has been modified should I use the 502 specs for the main bearing torque etc...? Everything has been changed to forged - Crank, rods, etc...

Thanks Again

Pantera,
Are those Dart heads alum? If so, they may be torqued differently from the factory cast iron heads.

Elite Marine 10-02-2002 06:22 PM

Dart Heads

They're cast, but thanks for looking after me...I could use all the help and checking I can get!!!!
