Heat exchanger help

Re-powering a 89 25' marlin cuddy cabin I just picked up. Going to convert it to efi using a chevy 4.8l ls about 20 more horsepower and 30 lbs more torque than the 5.7 that was in it but shouldn't kill the alpha 1 gen2 that's on it. Trying to decide what heat exchanger size wise will work. This if my first off shore boat all other boats I've had where river/lake boats. Any help or ideas would be great.

there is a place in NY that sells aftermarket units at decent prices, been using a pair for well over 10 years now, can't remember name right off google it...something cool I think, going to be a $$$$ swap because of all the special parts required

I'm going to document the swap shouldn't be to bad price wise think I should be able to do it for 4k or less and have fuel injection keep the same cruise speed the boat had and use less fuel.

the manifolds, raw water/alt pump setup are $$$$ good luck...several have been done

JaySoCal 08-17-2016 09:02 AM

Manifolds are 250 each risers are 170 ish if mine won't work on those manifolds. Starter and alternator have a friend that can rebuild the stock units to cost gaurd spec. Working on a Re-power with a heat exchanger to sell for carb 350 to efi swap for around 5k
