all good replies and will add just for the heck of it. Wires on the back of the oil pressure gauge tight and clean with good connections, also a sender that is over tighten can cause problem readings as well. Also no Teflon tape on the sender correct ? Wire connection on the sender and no corrosion on it either. Rusted up sender and or connection can cause reading issues Just posting on top of. Seems like everyone else covered it all.

You must have looked like a diesel from behind if you messed with the carb as stated in original thread and picked up near 600 rpm. Dam bro... 5k to 5,600 after jetting. :eekdrop:

Disclaimer: I am a hack, in particular with boats, and especially with carburetors as I can get impatient so my control experiments can be a bit loose, vague, and inaccurate. But yea, there's a lot of soot on the transom with a few complaints of the fuel odor tainting the lunchtime wine pairing, lol.

Also, my gauges are pretty crappy twenty year old Baja OEM stuff, so I barely trust them for any accuracies. But the jetting change literally transformed the behavior of the boat just from going down a couple numbers on a set of jets. These are the first tangible results that I've gotten to get the boat performing anywhere near where it should and I'm stoked.
