New style and old style 525
 

Needed to buy a new 525 from merc. It came in a few days which was nice but my mechanics ****ed up and ordered a new style one. Well of course mine are the old style. From What I can gather is the crank senior location is different. So can I just make a jumper and get a new style sensor for the new motor and be on my way? Is there anything else that would have to be changed or modified? The reason I'd like to use the new style is merc is at least two weeks out on building a old style. Thanks for the input
