32 fever steering cables
 

Can anyone tell me the proper length steering cables for a 1992 fountain 32 fever? I recently had it serviced and asked the mechanic to please change them. After I picked it up, he basically told me he didn't get to it because he couldn't get the part numbers or lengths off them without tearing it down. Which he didn't want to do in case he couldn't get replacements.\

Just as an aside,

Whats gonna be the cost difference of just moving to hydro steering?

If you have an add on hyd. steering setup.. your looking at (if you have the mechanical aptitude to piece it together) about 100 bucks for 3/8 hydraulic hose off fleabay, (if you look you will find people selling new hose with jic fittings on one or both ends, usually stuff made up the wrong length commercially etc... misc fittings etc $200 helm and post 300 to 1000 depending on if used or new... filter 50~100.

I don't know the cost difference but you will not regret going hydraulic.
