What size are intake runners at at this point. Just curious in comparison to my promaxx. My 317's grew in certain place in a hurry to get what I would consider good flow.

Do you have crank triggers on your motors or you using distributers to trigger your boxes? The 900s I hade on the dyno the higher you revved it the more it would retard the timing. Check the timing at 6200 and see what you have than.
Basically anyone running a magnetic trigger, and thinks they have xxx timing at 6000rpm, may certainly not. That goes back to my point about running the engine on the dyno. Give the engine what it likes, and forget about the number of what you "think"it should be. You may think you have 34 deg, and only have 30deg at 6000. What ignition box were you using apache? What did you find for the best timing setting on the dyno? |
The 900s had a 7al we only rad them at 34 didn't want the liability to give it more timing.
My na 598s ran best at 41* I set them at 39 in the boat and idled at 45* to calm them down. |

My engine had a crank trigger.. I would not build a engine without a crank trigger. Timing is rock solid with them.

What's a good set up to go with. MT sent me what he's had good luck with however I lost the info. Just looking for simplicity, trouble free and cost effective ingnition?
