Does it to me as well, and I can't find a way to fix it. Even if I rotate it, goes right back to sideways!

The link I put in this thread explains the technical side and offers a possible solution.

Well- looks like this issue is due to the fact I use an iPhone and Mac. It looks as long as I take the picture with out rotating it should load correctly. Thanks for the post.

lookin good tim.i lift engines with the same lift plates but not with the extra weight of the trans,4 5/16 grade 5 bolts seems a little lite for my liking.looking forward to seeing how it all turns out.:signs069:

Yea, I hear that, first time I used them, I tried to find a way to add a "safety strap" but there was no good way with using the gantry, I wondered about bolts too but my buddy said 4 of them fully threaded and tight would be fine, similar to the 2 3/8 bolts one on each side into head, these plates made it so much easier, hoping I don't have to worry about doing this anytime soon again LOL

Thx I will post results when I get them..

I had someone lift the complete engines with straps wrapped under the primary pipes of the headers. I wasn't thrilled with that but was told he did it all the time.
