nose cones

Audacity had posted info awhile back about nose cone dont work. the guy races in f2 class and has a lot of knowledge. Some people say they work some say they dont work. My cones are bullet/pointed and welded on, but I think if i had a choice i would go with blade type(less effected by trimming drive in/out)

so how did the testing go? did i miss the results??

I'm still waiting to hear from Tommy V. I do plan to change a couple of things, though. Namely the cavitation plate; I think it would be better to remove it for prop clearance reasons. To strengthen the weld margin, I plan to lay in a peice of 5052 aluminum flat bar over the margin and weld it in place. Like I said before, my biggest concern is durability.

Another reason for a loss when going from Alpha to Bravo is the mass of the Bravos larger shafts and gears and so on, takes more HP to turn them............Doug
