Upgrading fuel lines due to age and upgraded engine

Since my boat has been sitting for so long and the fuel lines look like the are the ones that came in the boat (1990) I am going to run all new fuel line from the tanks to the carb. Currently everything is 3/8" ID from the tanks to the carb with hose clamps. My plan was to run 8 AN PushLock (1/2") line from the tanks to the valve and run the same size from the valve to the fuel/water filter then to the mechanical pump. Then run 6 AN from the pump to the regulator and the carb. Currently building for NA 600-650 HP for now but will be upgrading to something forced down the road so just trying to plan.

Also what would your recommendations be for carbureted 548 BBC 10:1 pump gas, hydraulic roller. I was planning on a dominator and single plane but was told by a few people that is too much carb for my kind of boat and driving (30ft deep V Advantage single motor). This will also be a Tahoe boat so high altitude. Looking at a 850 demon on a Edelbrock Dominator R as a possibility.
Thanks
Scott
