2.3 on a 502
 

I'm looking at purchasing a 2.3 for my 502 for a 27 fever. Is it big enough and what kind of HP/speed gains can I expect

i built a 509 with worked gm heabs,a mk cam and a 2.3L with a 1000 cfm holley that made 765 hp.on 93.

Nice that's some good gains this will be on efi

Talk to Smitty ( Articfriends ) on here, he's done a bunch of dyno testing on the 502 mpi intake and TB............ that's the side mount Whipple ??

the whipple on the one i built was a top mount style for a carb.

How much power did it make I'd love to make my fountain do 100

I had 540's with 2.3's, efi's built from 500 efi's made 800hp and 900ft#. ran them 4 seasons without problems.

would also tell you to spend $$ on drive guardian or scx upper.

I don't know much about drives and what to get i gotta do some research but from what I read fountains like -2 lowers

What kinda speed and horsepower do you guys think I can get? Boat goes 67-69 now pry 450 ish hp
