Default 4500 series intake that also has 4150 bolt pattern?

Possibly looking for intakes that accept both bolt patterns, someone mentioned it in my other thread and don't feel like looking through to see who makes them, anyone know?

I only know of 4150 carbs with a baseplate that can be bolted on either.

I know, no help. Doh.

Are you thinking about an adaptor plate or spacer?

4500 has a larger opening that would not let and 4150 carb bolt to it . NEVER seen this on any intake . now intakes are made with 2 bolt patterns 4150 and spreadbore bolt patterns .

Tim, you will have to get 4500 base plates to put on your carbs the throttle body's should have a dual pattern to bolt the 4500 base plate on. Then you bolt it on whatever intake you want... It's only money :-)

Actually I would call Quickfuel. There literature on your carbs is very confusing.

Don't understand how they could do that, not because of making the bolt holes, but because of the plenum opening.

A 4150 on a 4500 opening would not seal. A 4500 on a 4150 opening would be too much restriction ie: manifold mounting flange would be under throttle blades..which of course would interfere with being able to open throttle blades.

Obviously I could be wrong on this...ust doing quick thinking, but that is how I am thinking this given minute. LOL.

Brodix makes an insert adapter for one of their 4500 intakes for just that....if I remember they made this combo for an offshore boat class that mandated a certain size 4150 carb.

Anyway, shortest 4150 caarb to 4500 intake adapter I know of is 1" tall. Maybe a thinner 'plate' adapter exists that I don't know of or remember.

BLP and a few others make a dual 4150/4500 base plate for some 4150 carbs that let's you bolt on a 4150 carb to either type intake. Still need a plate to seal it. Of course, an adapter would be easier and probably cheaper.

Ok so you need a 4500 base plate from BLP your throttle shafts butterflies and everything will transfer over. On top of that there is an 1/8" spacer that you will need that goes under the baseplate to seal around the sides of the baseplate. Why can't they make it all in one? I dunno didn't design it. Or as stated a 1" adapter to convert from 4500 to 4150 must be used. Quickfuel has a nice 4 hole designed adapter.
