The SM have a reversion damn in the tails, others like EMI and Gill don't.
Does anyone have a pic of the stainless marine "reversion dam"? The last set I bought did have a ring welded over the annulus with holes for the water to flow out but it wasn't what I would consider a dam. The most effective looking dam to me is the one in the CMI tails before where the water is dumped. I know I'm in the minority here, but I prefer wet exhaust (I know, I just set myself up) mostly because I LIKE silent choice; which has a nice/tolerable sound when open because of the Y pipe dampening and water and luxury quiet when you want to socialize. CMI/Merc had some pretty good success functionally limiting water ingestion with the dams and silent choice with some moderate overlap cams. (I know, I know, there were water ingestion problems, but not when everything was in good shape) By almost all accounts, the CMI's are effective at limiting water ingestion and it has to be because of their "dam" design, so I'm real curious what SM's design is like
