Hydraulic Steering help.

I have a Formula 242 that runs in the mid 70s. Its kind of a handfull. The stock 30yr old teleflex cable steering is all sloppy. Today I bought a Latham marine, single ram, full hydraulic steering kit. I also bought a livorsi wheel. I currently have my non tilt stock setup angled up slightly. I want to know what I need to buy to attach my Livorsi wheel to the Latham helm, and also how I can mount the helm so it angles up. I have attached pics of both my current setup and what I have purchased so far.

Have you taken the existing helm off yet?

Anyways a bidy with a machine shop comes in handy. You can either buy a tilting steering post or have a thick alum plate made and slice it at an angle to sandwhich the dash and tilt the whole unit.

I'm kinda leaning toward machining a wedge.

Think the steering posts might be a little short to angel it much.

It seems that the steering posts run $600-1000. I may just rebuild the whole dash, moving the wheel up in the verticle position. The reason I tilted the wheel to begin with is the wheel needed to be a few inches higher when verticle.

you have to be very careful mounting the helm unit, no bind at all or will act weird to say the least, to angle to helm you would need to ck on different hubs, but I have not seen anything like that before. They do make tilt ones but are very $$$$$

Formula, you want to part with the tilt wedge adaptor?
