Default Got my heads back fresh with a little clean up and a cam suprise

Got my 088 heads and intake back from my engine/head guy and he cleaned up the intakes and matched them to the intake I got. I also found out while he had the cam sent out to get checked and spec'd he also had it reground and I included a pic of the cam card specs. The same guy also reground one of my drag race solid rollers.

Here is the cam card, let me know what you think. It is going in a 548 10:1

Don't see many even splits anymore... seems most the time you see it is with a strong exhaust port and high flowing exhaust. Should run pretty strong tho... 10:1 is certainly about the most compression you'd want to encounter on pump gas Marine. Running 93 octane land fuel?

This is my first boat motor build and I have been reading a lot on here about cams and the drama they cause LOL. We will see how it does as it does not look like a lot of the grinds I see on here. I will mostly trailering so I will be fueling at a normal gas station.

I am looking at a boat with even splits. 509 whipple engines. 245/245 .651 .651 on 114. So yes, they do work.

Wet exhaust? There's many myths about split duration cams. Seems like many shelf cams taylor their splits around GM heads also.

The boat came with Imco Thumper Power exhaust and I am going to be starting with that. I have read that they can support some HP but really do not see many people with them on here. Lots of nice looking headers!!!
