What are you guys using, I've looked on line and cant seem to find one, I send a message to Livorsi but have not heard back
thanks |
|
Summit also carries them if you have one to get the numbers off side. It's a standard sender for many gauges.
|

you have to use whatever your gauge requires, not all the same, may look idenitical but mine was 100 deg off, CP can tell you what fits what
|
Correct EZ............ CP sent me a catalog of the senders for the Autometer gauges
|
Ken,
Sent you a price list what I was quoted for Autometer gauges and sending units from Diamond Perfomance. I was told the sending unit is specific to the brand of gauge |
Now all I have to do is drive four hours to see if their half sweep or full sweep, it makes a difference. :faint2:
thanks Chris |
Anyone have their oil temp sender in an oil pan port. I know some like it before cooler and some who like it after cooler. I always figured if the the sensor was close to the pump you'd actually be getting a pretty accurate reading. Kinda like my water temp sensor I used a T fitting and installed it there. This was a project in the works that never saw the water so I never had a chance to see how either worked but the locations made sense to me. Especially for water temp sensor if your running x-over an bypass.

I have some new lines being made and new block adapter and I'm going to drill and tap the oil filter plug on the remote housing coming into the filter and before cooler for the sender
|
I plan to run a second set innpan this year, also at oil filter adaptor and have it on a switch to see both readings for the heck of it, as far as using a t, don't use any brass nipples from block to T, use black pipe, ask me how I know lol
|
Whats the issue FF false readings ?? Mercury uses a brass T fitting

What's strange is what are the senders made of??? |
It states right on Livorsi's web site not to use any sealant or Teflon tap on their senders ( metal to metal ) I would bet most guys do
