It was more aimed at him then the boat... I also never said Fountains "can't do it" I only ever said that the 38 stepped I been on beat my ass up, never been on older one that I am sure heavier and straight hull, that being said... I always see the fountain guys destroying and badmouthing Cigs and other brands, we are all brand loyal...

A 33 powerplay did. And a center console, and Robs 36 Apache. I dont recall any of the race teams that ran a 33 Fountain, Heartbeat racing being one of them, who had many victories in offshore racing, not being able to compete against other similar sized boats in their classes.
I dont know what kind of guys you hang around with over at kellys island , that own fountains, but they must be some big puzzys, horrible drivers, or complete azzwipes , for you to constantly bash on what fountains "cant do". |
Defintely not calm water.
And defintely not water anyones gonna be able to show off their 100 plus mph speeds in vee bottoms, or 150 plus mph runs in big dollar cats. I remember the chicago poker run, i think it was 2007. Big water. Several boats suffered significant hull damage that day. I do believe, their was more than one 35 Fountain that was in the run, and didnt break anything, or turn back. Actually, if i recall, a 38 Cig delaminated to where the side of the hull peeled off and nearly sank, a 382 Formula split at the rubrail, and some other carnage as well. |
I get that, at the same time Artie has destroyed a few things in his cabin of a 47 Fountain, so they have things that can break. it happens to every brand at some point and different things...
