525 efi water temp sender
1st series 525 efi ..The analog water temp gauge shows no reading. The gauge itself seems to work.. if sender wire is grounded, it pegs..Livorsi gauge .On smartcraft monitor and Diacom I have normal temps ..Can't seem to find but one sender on engine ,,on the crossover ..Is there another analog style sender hiding on this engine somewhere. .thank you for any input

There is a water temperature sensor in the crossover just under the heat exchanger. There is a coolant temperature sensor just below and slightly to the rear of cylinder #7.

For anyone that may care..After a little research I found out that to drive the analog gauges there is a digital to analog converter on the back of motor ..The sender below # 7 that the epc and HyFive 578 calls a coolant temp sender, is in fact the oil temp sender...The problem ended up being a bad ground to the digital converter...All is well

Thanks for tying this one off!
