looking for input from anyone who has tried the comp cams xtrem marine xm284hr 112 lobe separation 110 center line, 230int / 290 ex duration @.50. looking in this area for lift .547 but want to stay away from big duration. pleasure/ performance boat. p.s. fairly long no wake zone to get to the big water if that matters.

All things being equal, a 496 , 4.25 x 4.31, will need about 10* more duration, than a 454, and about 7* more duration than a 502 (4.00x4.47).
Stroke is a big factor in what camshaft an engine needs. |

I had O2 bungs in the exhaust so tuned the carb with a wideband. would idle ALL day with NO issues... :) |

Correct me if I'm wrong. Comp Cams makes a 525EFI duplicate cam.
