I forgot to mention the other week cause we where without power and internet for 6 days (brutal massive storm), but just before then I found a company that makes limiters for hyd lifters. :) Harley uses, on many engines, the SBC lifter. :) So, leave it to S&S cycle to make it. i used a set in a 509 that got the snot ran out of it for the summer the owner ran it,so far so good.

Have some of these in my 509's. I have about 60 or so hours now on them so far so good.

So far, mine are doing great. I have used them in the last 4 engines that I built, but probably less than 200 hrs combined on all 4 engines. The last two were 548's that we dyno'd to 6300rpm with no issues. They had pretty big cams and pretty stiff springs.

FWIW, I ran my stock GM lifters with Eddie Young’s blessing, but they measure out at the exact height of these short travel lifters so you can switch them out without reinventing the valve train. |
