Haven't figured that out yet, obviously that'll be the last installed component. Love to go a true pipe but realistically will go with two sets of Power-flows.... Have not had any good experiences with used stuff, but I might take a chance on some fresh water CMI's....

And you do what for a living? Boat mechanic?

Yes...

getrdunn 03-27-2017 08:13 PM

If he is a boat mechanic that doesn't necessarily mean they have first hand knowledge of drifting off into the aftermarket good guy parts. just thinking about our local marinas and mechanics here in the NW MI... unless it's in the parts book.... out to lunch! Anyway not trying to start anything over it but I even have relation who is a boat mechanic and is very sharp but just simply not real gearhead savvy. Like MT mentioned what exhaust and I know where he's going with that but let the OP answer. I have a feeling stock cast wet exh. Maybe be safer with the 114?

Two deg less exhaust duration yet Teague advertises 2,500-6,000 WHAT???

getrdunn, look at the advertised duration, exactly same as the 731,so bob teague fudges the numbers for two deg and calls it his own,and he is not the only one doing it.

My dad was a boat mechanic and a damn good one, and owned two shops that I also worked at as a teen. As you all can tell I still don't know jack **** about the performance boat sector and neither did he.

Without a doubt, teague copied cranes designs. You'll see in teagues product description, says they are made by "andrews products". Andrews products appears to be a company that you can send in a design, or a camshaft, and they can duplicate it for you. My guess, is probably at a much cheaper cost than Teague can get them from Crane direct for, which in turn, means more profit. He probably found the crane grinds worked, and wanted to offer them to customers, but wanted to make some more $$ in camshaft sales. As you'll see by comparison, except for the stage 1 having 2 more deg of exhaust duration, the rest are identical. Advertised, .050, and lobe lift. Identical.

Yeah I kinda thought Teague might be doing that given some earlier posts. Crane it is.

TylerBurich 03-28-2017 07:59 AM

My Teague cams came direct from Andrews. I went with the 230/236 .598/.610 lift by their recommendation. I couldn't be happier with them.

Baja Rooster 03-28-2017 10:36 AM

Would it be worth it to buy from Teague just for the extra support value?
